The LWV General Meeting in August will be the organization’s first hybrid meeting. It begins at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Good Samaritan Creative Arts Room, 3011 Buena Vida Circle. Members who prefer to continue to attend via Zoom should notify Co-President Eileen VanWie in advance (lwvsnm@gmail.com). Refreshments will be served.
The guest speaker will be the Deputy Secretary for the New Mexico Department of Education Dr. Tim Hall. He will address how the NMPED is working with school districts in New Mexico to overcome any learning loss by students during the pandemic.
New or renewing members can pay their annual dues at the in-person meeting. Dues are $65 per year (or $32.50 for secondary household members). For students 16+, the dues are free.
